Sorry it's been FOREVER since I posted...guess I've been busier than I thought!

Here's a little of what we've been up to!
This flower bloomed in my backyard and I think it's so pretty!
I finally have little green baby tomatoes...I just hope they make it because it's so hot and dry I can hardly keep them watered enough!

We celebrated my Aunt Amy's Birthday with a party at my Granny's house!!!....

And We celebrated Father's Day with a cookout at Eddie, Amy, and Meg's house in Lincolnton, Ga. We had hamburgers, banana pudding, and homemade ice cream and rode bikes and had lots of fun!!!....

This gift was obviously a joke!

I love my Dad! I'm so proud he's my "Deddy"!
Happy Father's Day Pop!!! We love you! Pop got a wildlife feeder...pretty cool!
Brian was so funny! He said, "Momma, lets look at each other and smile and get someone to take our picture!"HAHA! He's great!
This bug was HUGE, WEIRD, AND SCARY!!! It was in the bush at Amy and Eddie's house and none of us had ever seen anything quite like it!

Fran modeling my BIG OL' sunglasses!! Lookin' good girls!
Swimming in the Lake!
These three little amigos...Meg, Morgan, and Ali!

And finally, Fireworks at the Hartwell Dam, except my camera went dead before I could get any fireworks pictures....lol! We went out on the pontoon with my friends Jessica and Ray and Ray's family. It was fun and got me feeling patriotic!
We have so much fun together! I love my husband SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!

This morning I was listening to a sermon on TV and the pastor's message was about God's design for marriage. Isn't this just one of the most beautiful passages...

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Eccles. 4:12 NIV)

I started thinking about how thankful I am for my "Cord of three strands"! In a world where "cords" are snapping apart daily I thank my God for His strength that always holds my life, my marriage, and my future in a strong and mighty way.

Yea for Family, Friends, Dads, Fireworks, Lakes, Sunsets, Bike Rides, and Cords that are not easily broken!!!

Did I mention how much I LOVE MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!!
Trav fell asleep on the couch after dinner so I snuck and got a pic! He was tired after working and then playing golf while we were at the pool. He's playing really well these days too and is getting ready for the Lefty-Righty tournament he's playing in about two weeks. I'm proud of him! So..... guess I'll watch 'Rachel Getting Married' instead of 'The Wrestler' (and that suits me just fine...lol!)

Yea for my BEST FRIEND!!!

Me, Molly, Ali, Nikki, and Jessica spent the day soaking up some sun at the pool! Jessica invited us to her mother and father in-law's neighborhood pool and we had a diving contest, read some mags, and ate some good snacks, thanks to Jessica who whipped up some very yummy salsa! Me and Trav are about to watch 'The Wrestler'. I got it from the Redbox...hope its' good...I'll let ya know tomorrow!

Yea for lazy summer days!!!

Elouise, Petunia, and Gertrude!!!

I spent friday night having a blast with Ali and Nikki! We ate dinner at Wild Wings and then dressed up in our alter-ego outfits, crashed a party on my street (for real!!!) and hit the town! Then we all watched Slumdog Millionaire, which I highly recommend, and had fun spending some time together!!! Here is a little of our weekend...and oh yeah, I almost forget...in true Elouise style..."Chicken Makes me WANNA MOOOOVE!!!!"

After a rather long day at work me, Trav, and my father-in-law Ken all went to eat dinner together at Osaka Express. I got the hibachi shrimp with double broccoli and white rice so I'm hoping it was a somewhat healthy choice. I even asked them to steam my broccoli and not use oil or butter so if they actually did that (who knows what really goes on back there...lol) it should have been pretty low-cal! It was so delicious!! We had fun chatting and talking about old movies (sounds morbid but mainly the corny old horror movies like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street...don't ask how the convo went there but it did...lol... and then we came back to the house and showed Ken our "Bon Qui Qui" Remake which he thought was pretty funny! I love when we get to spend time with Ken...he's always been so good to me! ...Then me and Trav watched some TV and I'm now up way too late blogging again~

Yea...Time to HIT THE HAY!

My friend "J-Lowe!"

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you about my friend and BEAUTIFUL BEAUTICIAN...LOL...Jessica Lowe...AKA...J-Lowe!

We've been friends for about six years now and she's been doing my hair for that long too! I was her very first client and we had so much fun experimenting with my hair and hanging out together! She's such a special girl and she is now getting the opportunity to open her own salon on Clemson Blvd and it's going to be VERY AWESOME!

I got my hair done last week and here's a pic of Jessica's awesome work...she does wonders! If you've been looking for someone who you can be sure will do a good job, just give Jessica a call! I promise you'll walk out feeling much better than you did when you walked in! If you want her number I'll be happy to share it with ya. Until her new shop opens she's working at Lasting Impressions on Pearman Dairy Road here in Anderson.

Yea for GOOD HAIR DAYS thanks to my VERY GOOD FRIEND!!!

Thanks J-Lowe!

days until me, Trav, Mom, Dad, Ali, and Brian leave for the beach!!! I was just sitting here listening to the rain outside and dreaming of the BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE so I thought I'd share a little about what our vacations usually include so I can try to get some of this excitement out of me! LOL!

We always camp at Lakewood Family Campground at Myrtle Beach and it's a Christian based campground which makes me love it even more! We will have a golf cart to drive around all week too. We will have plenty of icecream cones from the Stage Door Cafe, We will cook lots of yummy foods and visit some Seafood places...Me and Trav happen to love The Chesapeake House! They have the best seafood bisque!
We will get to attend an oceanview worship service, we will spend hours soaking up lots of sunshine (and everyone who knows me knows I'll be slathering up with plenty of SPF!), we will play with Brian in the pool and lazy river, we will take Ali out for some special time to shop and hang out with us at Broadway at the Beach, play a late night putt putt game, and just enjoy being together!

One day we will go to the Family Kingdom Amusement Park and Water Park and we will spend late afternoons wrapping things up on the beach reading a good book before going in for showers to start our fun for the night!
The Swamp Fox Roller Coaster at Family Kingdom Amusement Park!

I am so thankful that the Lord is allowing us this time to relax and enjoy His BEAUTIFUL BEACH CREATION! It's something I've looked forward to every year since I was probably about five years old and my WONDERFUL parents took us to Sea Mist, then Apache, and then to Lakewood! Ahh...THE MEMORIES!!!
I hope you are going to be able to take some time to relax and enjoy some fun times with your family this summer!
