My Girl

Today was the 50th day of Kindergarten for my sweet Chloe Bug! 

She got to celebrate by dressing up in 50s clothes, dancing the hand jive, and having coke floats at school. I was so happy I was able to go help out some in her classroom- I love the way her face lights up when she sees I’m there. 💖 I was just telling Travis how grateful I am for opportunities like these! 

We slipped out early for a little secret girls only time at Starbucks—we didn’t even TELL the boys 😉

Cake pop and milk to celebrate her very first report card! I’m so proud of her! Salted caramel mocha for me ☕️

It was so fun to get our own little table and read her new library book together, go over her word wall words, and talk about her day! 
We finished the afternoon with grocery shopping and a quick visit to Walgreens for 90% off makeup (2 new lipsticks for us both 😘💋🤪, sunscreens (totally set for next summer!), and plenty of other random items we didn’t need 🙈 oops! 😉 
While we were gone, Travis did ALL the laundry, took care of the boys, and cleaned the living room—I’m thankful for how well he loves us!!! And TRUST it was badly needed!
On a side note- anybody else already completely overrun with Halloween candy?! 😳 I’ve got to hide this stuff from myself! 
Anyway—-
Over the past 13 years, Trav and I have finally (almost 😉) mastered (hmmm...maybe I should say kinda figured out!!!) this team effort! It would DEF not be possibly without God’s example of love and grace and His perfect family design. We are learning and growing together more each day. Not every day is easy—but EVERY day is worth the effort- for each other, for our children, for the building of His Kingdom. So thankful that God can take our totally imperfect efforts and turn them into beautiful days that bring such JOY! 
All the kiddos were in bed by 7 and now it’s time to grab a couple pieces of that Halloween candy and relax! Yay!!!

Weekend Update

Saturday was just wonderful! Got the day started by going to get a pedicure with Mo

And walking around doing a little shopping to try to get Marlee to make her grand entrance! As of now-still waiting!

I also did one of my favorite things—yard sale!!!! Anderson Christian School had a sale to benefit missions so I DID some good AND got some goods... hehe! Corny pun intended but not necessarily funny?! 🤪 oh well, moving on...

To the deals!!  I’ve forever been a thrifter and I’ve still been doing it but haven’t made a blog post about my finds in forever. I’m excited to show you what I found 😍

This was my FAV!!!

Y’all! All of the sweaters were good name brands and exactly my size! Score! 

The little baggie is full of 5 sets of superhero capes and matching masks—for $1! 

I also got a brand new play cash register not pictured because the kids were already having fun with it! 

So- my grand yardsale total was- drumroll please 🥁.......

$18!!!

Yep! Love a good deal! 

We hit up a fall festival Saturday evening

So easy peasy to just throw on the new superhero gear! 

Everyone was happy to see bedtime! 

Sunday was so fun, too! 

We met in Elberton for the Dewy Rose fall festival and got to have some sweet cousin fun! 

Thankful to do life with my sweet sisters, nieces, and nephews! 

So, it’s now Monday morning and I have to confess we overslept! Oops! 🙈 We need to get our week started—- better later than never! 😉 on the bright side, there’s time for that much needed extra cup of coffee!
