{Hi. My name is Patrick and I'm a Graduate}

That's my BIL Patrick and he graduated from The Univeristy of South Carolina this weekend with a degree in Finance. That's me and Trav really happy for him! Cum Laude, too! Go PRada!

YUM!...I ordered the Mixed Green Salad with Pan Seared Salmon...MWWWAH! It was DELICIOUS!

We were stuffed and happy!
We had a big group to celebrate Patrick's accomplishments...

And we were all SO PROUD!

After lunch we headed to the Colliseum for the Ceremony!

Then climbed the stairs to a bright future!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Finally, no more papers, homework, or tests! YAY! We love you!!!

Now, switching gears a little to the Beauty Scene for the day...

Please prepare yourself for the stark "whiteness" you are about to encounter (aka-PUT YOUR SUNGLASSES ON!)

The "oh-so-white" one is mine, the other is my Mom's nicely self-tanned leg! Go mom! Lookin' good and keepin' it healthy! Motivation to bust out the spray tan bottle!
And remember that purple eye shadow I told you about HERE?

Hopefully you can see the purple effect I was going for {not to mention the Goody headband that gives you such an 80's rocker feelin'!}
This shadow has AMAZING staying powder for a cheap eyeshadow (they usually get oily and crease up...yuck!) but this one stayed smooth all day and didn't migrate all over my face. I am going back to check out other shades soon!


Now for some bad news...
I rarely have a BAD product review because I normally purchase my products carefully (since I'm spending my own money, ya know?!) and pick stuff I'm pretty sure I'm going to like. But in this case, my Mom had some foundation she said she didn't like and offered it to me. She handed me a bottle of Revlon "PHOTO READY" foundation in Shell which claims to "perfect your skin in any light." I tried it one day last week and found out for myself that it's an ICKY+YUCKY product...GROSS!
It was thin, watery, and super oily (not to mention it had only the SLIGHTEST coverage)and the only photo I felt ready for was a mugshot! So, into the trashcan it goes! I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it...sorry Mom!

Well, it's been a long but exciting day but it's time to wind down and read some magazines

...and then try to get some zzz's. Lots of FUN Mother’s Day activities planned for tomorrow!

{Veggie Girl + Veggie Boy}

Nope, we are not increasing our vegetable intake but we ARE totally VEGGING out on the couch tonight!

Trav isn't feeling too hot and I am lazy! LOL! (Hope you feel better, Honey!)

I put my PJ's and robe on as soon as I got home and when Trav got home we hopped in the Mitzi, dropped off a prescription at CVS, and grabbed a HOT-N-READY from Little Caesar's. Pizza! Pizza!

It SMELLS delicious but that's all I can tell ya because I am using TREMENDOUS willpower and having a big baked potato instead! Yay, Me! It's not the easiest thing in the world...but totally worth it when I remember that bathing suit season is upon us. Yikes!

This afternoon I met my Mom at Bangs (J-Lowe's salon) where she proceeded to get an AWESOME new 'do which was followed by a trip to Rue 21 and Dollar Tree.

I found a new set of beaded bracelets in black, gray, and silver tones, a trio of earrings, and a shirt for tomorrow's festivities (see below!) all for $5! SCORE! Mom got some new stuff too and finished some of her Mother's Day shopping. I got an AWESOME new lip gloss at Dollar Tree that was VERY comparible to the Lancome Juicy Tube "Simmer" shade I tried yesterday, except mine was $1 and the Juicy Tube was $18. I think it's clear who saved $17 and came out on top! I also got a bright purple eyeshadow (lighter shades tend to fade to much for my liking...if I wear purple I want it to be PURPLE!) and a new Nivea lip blam (for my bed side drawer- the one in there now is just about sucked dry), and a six pack of Goody's brand Ouchless wide cotton headbands. I've been needing new ones but didn't wanna spend $6-7 at Walmart.LOVE THEM. But luckily these were also just a buck!

So...Tomorrow Patrick graduates from USC! Yay Patrick! Plans for the morning are as follows:

Egg McMuffin breakfast on the road (Planned by me!)
Hit Cola Town around 11:45
Enjoy a FAB lunch with the Graduate and Fam
Attend the graduation ceremony
Stop by Starbucks on the way home!!! (This, actually, was planned by Trav but I was quite pleased!)
Stop at a thrift store if time permits (and this also...planned by me!)

Much fun to be had by all! EXCITED!

Can't wait to let you know how my new Avon products work for me. I just got some new things from my Aunt today- Precious Glimmer Powder Eyeshadow in "Petal" (a light purple shade that I think will look layered with the BRIGHT purple shade I got today at Dollar Tree), Nourishing Shower Gel in " Banana and Coconut Milk" (tropical scents are my FAVORITE, and Curl Goddess Curling Mist "with conditioning sunflower" that claims to "activate hair's natural wave and curl". We shall see! Another product review to come soon!

{Fun with Miss Erica!}

Yesterday I was browsing around Belk, looking for some bargains, and I unexpectedly found myself sitting at the Lancome counter getting a litte "mini-makeover". The makeup Artist, Erica, (wish I had gotten a pic with her!) was super cute and sweet so I thought...WHY NOT???

I was able to sample several products and here are two of my favorties...both of which I recieved free samples!!! Yea!

First was Genefique...a serum that actually begins to repair your cells from the inside out and "have visibly younger skin in 7 days"...Sounds good to me!


It left my skin feeling so smooth and Erica compared the results of prolonged use to new baby skin and who wouldn't want that!

It's pretty pricey though...so I'm gonna have to make that an investment in my skin and save up for awhile!

Next was the mineral powder makeup...

I thought it provided even coverage and a nice natural color. She had to put it in a clinique container because they were out at the Lancome counter. I just love this little sample!

{No major changes because I stuck to my normal color palletes but my skin FELT younger....yay!}

Finally, my favorite part of the day was this...

I had been CRAVING a Mocha Light Frappachino from Starbucks and I made a special trip to get one. YUMMYY!
