Day Trippin’ Trio

Today was so.much.FUN!!! 

With no plans at all, we spent the day wandering through Northeast Georgia- our last “big hoorah!” before Mom and Nikki start back to school. 

We had breakfast in Lavonia at a cute little coffee shop called “The Cup”. The server was incredibly sweet to us after she learned that we were barred from a nice window seat at another restaurant (a story for another day!) 😉 

I had a delicious Greek vanilla yogurt parfait with blueberries and raspberries...

With the best handwritten suggestion- don’t mind if I do! ❤️ 

After a little shopping, some thrifting, and lots of laughing in between, we stopped for lunch at “The Attic” in Clarksville. 

Soup of the Day was French Onion- my fav! 

This grilled Romain salad was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten— seriously delish!

Back on the home front, the kids were living it up with Cam and Savannah!

We left Clarksville and stopped in Clayton for a few more treats- mostly to eat! 😉

It was the Cutest little shop called “Farm House Donuts” and I will most def be back for more, hopefully sooner than later! I think the drive was worth it for the donuts alone 🍩

It was just a beautiful, happy day...

It was the weekend of the unforgettable anti-social party (if you know, you know) 😖🇺🇸😬 and breakfast out with some pretty delicious carbs and very sweet company 🍽🙌🏻

Thursday in Pics

6 am- Totally used my space heater this morning (and pretty much all year!) I even had about 20 minutes of solitude before Ryder woke up and we watched the Lion King—again 🤪
9:15- headed out for a family breakfast date at Hartwell DQ  (if you’ve never had their breakfast platters, you should!) 
*so happy sweet SawMan is recovering so well from having his tonsils removed!*

*not sure how long this stage will last 😍*



And then, we came home and enjoyed **A WONDERFUL NAP**

4:30 pm- Slime Time with friends

6 pm- a quick trip down the slide...
Wrapped up our day! 
But the BEST part...
7 pm- My sweet hubby just took all three kiddos to the Y, I had a piece of Ezekiel toast topped with peanut butter and honey in complete peace and quiet, and as I type this,I’m already in bed! Totally NOT planning to get up until the Rooster crows or Ryder wakes up- whichever comes first!

Ups and Downs and fun all around 😉

Whew!

Some days are just harder than others and I’m thankful we made it thru yesterday! Travis was sick with a stomach virus and was completely out of commission. Since he works from home and I stay home with the kids, I’m used to having his help during the day. Yesterday I realized how much I appreciate that help!!!

Being a stay-at-home mom is so very rewarding but it can be the hardest thing I’ve ever done at times. Chloe and Ryder are in a stage where they argue about almost everything one minute and then play together like best friends the next. The struggle is real! Luckily, little baby Bents is the BEST baby in every way. He sleeps well, eats well, smiles all day, and just loves life! He’s a complete joy! Chloe and Ryder are, too, they just come with a little whining and (a lot) of personality these days 🤪  I wouldn’t change a single thing about anyone tho- Ryder is one-of-a-kind , a “strong boy” who thinks he’s a muscle man that can do anything! He loves pretending and thinks poots are hilarious— typical boy! Chloe is an amazing big sister and she is as unique and rare as the day is long. Currently, she’s a Descendants super fan and really loves having friends over to play. I hope by keeping this blog, I can remember more about them at each little stage. Time goes too quickly!

So- back to our chaotic day yesterday- it had its challenges but it’s joys as well. ❤️

We got our elephant ears planted as planned...

And the weather was so much cooler so it was the perfect day to be outside! It made me long for fall days but I know it’s gonna be hot around here for a couple more months. We will have to rely on the pool and slip-n-slide a little longer. 👍🏻

After some refreshment for us all....

and after some much needed naps, it was time for a McDonalds date. $1.99 Happy Meals for the win. 

Ryder boo is always flexin’ these days! 

Apparently, he also has a strong affinity for nuts-lots and lots of nuts, in his hot fudge sundae! 

And last, but not least, Chloe modeling her latest Descendants fashion- an over-priced Mal dress from Target that just makes her so happy! 

Worth every penny! 

Well, a ton of cleaning awaits and I need to get started before I come up with an excuse to do something more fun!
