Were full of relaxing snuggles- Chloe is the BEST big sister!!!
After a busy week of welcoming our beautiful new baby Marlee into the family and a CRAZY busy week at school for Chloe- I was desperate for some down time. I don’t like being busy or rushed but sometimes we just are—I’m glad we keep our calendar mostly clear of extra stuff and spend the majority of our time just at home together or with family. It’s just a priority for us ❤️
So, while Chloe was at school, Ryder helped me put up about 10 boxes of Halloween stuff (ð no joke) and we decorated for Thanksgiving! No skipping Turkey Day for us—it has always been one of my favorite holidays. Just the thought of being together on one special day with the people I love the most, eating good food, and reflecting on how blessed and grateful I am for the gifts of the past year—it’s just good for the soul and helps prepare my heart for the Christmas season!!!
And, no, I totally don’t judge you if you’ve got your tree up already! ð I have to admit that the kids already have their trees up in their rooms, Christmas music has been played, Elf has been watched, and Christmas candles have been burned ❤️ I’m just trying to give Thanksgiving a little attention in between!
We’ve also enjoyed some fun days with Aunt Ali and Rainer—
Those are some of our favorite days!
Chloe had her first field day and was such a champ! Literally ðĪŠ Her class won tug of war! She thought it was Hug of War and I just didn’t have the heart to correct her— I like that name better anyway!
Her little cheerleaders!
We’ve gone to the park...
Made some big messes —Ryder is a booby trap maker extraordinaire!
Bents is a donut- eater extraordinaire! I guess I’m pretty good at that, too ð
We’ve been drawing turkeys
And having some fun family breakfasts
And NOW—-drumroll please—-Travis and I are headed to Pigeon Forge for a little Anniversary weekend getaway and I couldn’t be more excited!
Praise the Lord for some time away to recharge and reconnect so we can come back home prepared for the most wonderful time of the year!
Not gonna lie- I absolutely can’t wait to sleep in a bed, with no kids, until at least 7!
Love,
Laura
