I'm taking it back to the late 1800's! Inspired by this new and MOST AMAZING book I've been reading, I donned my most "prairiest-looking" duds in it's honor:) "The Prairie Girl's Guide to Life" ....because it's nice to pretend sometimes!
So far I've learned how to brine and twine a Turkey, make a homemade Rhubarb pie, and how to make candied cherries. I'm still in Chapter One which is cooking and kitchen stuff.
But next....
I get to learn how to make lye soap, candles, rugs, rag curlers, knit, sew, quilt and lots more!
Tonight I am making a Turkey, complete with stuffing---
just kiddin' folks---I think I'll save that one for Thanksgiving!
I think I'll just try sewing a satchel!
So...THIMBLES UP!
Be Radiant!
Love,
Laura
