My Lucky Week!

I just keep getting lucky, no I should say BLESSED!!!, this week and got to see two more of my WONDERFUL friends this week...Kassi and little Bella Grace! They came by the house for a few minutes this afternoon and we explored the "Georgie Boy", got sweaty...eww!, Bella used my potty (how cute!) and ate a cookie! Now if I could only find that little present..think Laura THINK!!!

I got the best SURPRISE today! I've been feeling "icky" all week long and I got a text this evening from Jessica asking if she could come by. I told her it was fine as long as she was brave enough to battle my germs! haha! Nevertheless around 6:30 my door bell rang and there she was with an armful of goodies for me and lots of get well wishes! She brought me a tray of homemade brownies...YUM....a stack of some good ole' movies to give me something to do, a sweet card and a very cute coffee mug (she knows I'm a coffee fan!) which was full of some of my favorite candy! She's also trying to fatten me up people!

It just really made my day and encouraged me. I'm so lucky and blessed to have friends who I know love me! It also made me want to be an even better friend too!

Well, Well, Well...

He's Baaaaaackkkk!!!!

I went to the Doctor today because I still can't seem to shake this little green man! I found out I have had a mild strain of a type of mono virus and fluid on my ears and I got some medicine that I hope gets me feeling better! I also found out from the nurse that a group of about 1,000 students from New Spring went on a trip to FL recently and several came back with the Swine Flu. The nurse told me they had confirmed the cases and were trying to "keep it contained". Kinda Scary, huh???

Anyway...

Just laid around the house all day yesterday and today and did a whole bunch of nothing really. Watched alot of intervention and ate cheese grits...sounds so exciting doesn't it? If I'm better by tomorrow I'm supposed to get my "hair did!" at Jessica's new shop so I'm looking forward to that. I think I'm gonna pump up the blonde...this blah brownish blonde is about to do me in!

I better go because Roxy is licking the rest of my cheese grits out of my bowl and I gotta wrap up in my Snuggie...(thanks again Bubba...boy do I love it!)

Shopping with the FAM!

Mom, Molly, and Ali came to Anderson today for some back to school shopping. Ali is starting high school (It's seems unbelievable that she's 14 already!!!) so she needed to get a few new outfits, a backpack, shoes, accessories, ect...LoL!
We ate in the food court and finished the day with a visit to Dollar Tree...man do I love that place! Got some new eyeliner and some combs because I've been into teasing lately...the bigger the hair the closer to God! Ha! Ha! So obvious I'm a southern girl!

When I got home Trav was walking Glory so I joined them and we fed the new "neighborhood" kittens we found the other day. They are SO CUTE and I guess I better start on finding them a home! If anyone would like a cute gray and white stripped or light yellow and white kitten...Please call me! I promise...they're SUPER CUTE!

If anyone is looking for some good bargains, Belk has most of their clearance at 70 % off and then an extra 40 %! Also I got a new Yankee Candle, the big size, for $3 at Rugged Warehouse!!! I think that was the best deal of the day! It is Peaches and Sweet Berries and smells great in the kitchen!

Yea for finding good deal with the FAM!!!

Also, there is a little girl who needs our prayers. She is a friend of a friend and I just got word and don't even know her name yet but she's in the ICU in a North Carolina hospital right now due to getting bitten by a copperhead snake. Please say a prayer for this little girl!

Friday+Vanessa+Egg Rolls+Date Night = A Great Day!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

What a great day! Work went well and went by quickly (always a plus!) and I got to have lunch with Vanessa at Master's Wok and dine on the finest soup and egg rolls in town! Lol! I really love spending time with her and I'm lucky that when I married Travis I gained so many other WONDERFUL people to be a part of my family!

Tonight Trav and I are going out to eat at Chili's (Can't beat that deal they have now: an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $20!) and then we are going to our favorite hangout...BAM, aka "Books a Million!"

We celebrated my Dad's birthday at my Granny's house in Elberton on Monday night and had SO MUCH FUN! Dad opened his presents and blew out his candles and then we ate some cake and ice cream cones...Yummy!Trav had to work so I had to get his cake to-go...lol...and I missed seeing Ali since she was at cheerleading practice but hopefully we will get to spend some time with her soon.

We played bachi ball outside...
And watched the kids...and Nikki....dress up like funny people, which happens to be a common form of entertainment at our family gatherings!
I hope my dad has the best year ever and enjoys each and every day until we celebrate again next year!

It's Sunday!

I've been feeling under the weather the past three days and spent the last two in the bed which has left me feeling awfully bored and of course there's not much to blog about when all you've seen is the back of your eyelids for the past 48 hours!

Luckily, Travis offered to clean the house so that made me VERY HAPPY! I got up and checked on his progress today and he's still got a ways to go but overall he's doing good! LOL!

I was really looking forward to making it to church today but I still wasn't feeling up to it so maybe we'll try to go tonight if I can get to feeling better. Ever since we got back from the beach I've had this cold-like thing with earache, sore throat, ect...But I'm definately feeling better today!

My Uncle Eddie celebrated his birthday on the 17th so HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDIE!!!

And my Dad's birthday is on July 20th and I'm looking forward to celebrating with him!!!

You can probably sense my boredom from this post...sorry about that! More exciting things to come soon! haha!

Today is Tuesday!

Today is Tuesday and here are a few things about today:

1. We finally got a RED TOMATO!
2. I finally got all the dirty clothes washed from vacation.
3. It was my first day back at work...always tough...but it went well!
4. I washed all my gross and accumulating coffee mugs from my office.
5. We are having Garlic Chicken Pasta for dinner.
6. Glory finally gets a walk!
7. I found my french vanilla coffee creamer in a refrigerator down the hall from my office...Yea!
8. I talked to Nun Nun on the phone and he made me laugh.
9. Found out my little brother is gonna go to a new Elementary School this year.
10. The rest of my family is still at the beach...and I'm not! Boo!

Yea....What an interesting day, huh??? Lol!

Myrtle Beach 2009!

After another four hour nap to recover from our long drive home (see last post!) I'm ready to tell you all about the first six days of our vacation!


As you can see, the Georgie Boy got off to a good start! We made it to Lakewood on July 3rd with no problems! We got there a few minutes before mom and dad and got set up. They arrived a few minutes later and after they got their campsite set up we ordered a couple of those new Pizza Mia's from Pizza Hut...delicious! We didn't waste any time before we started having some fun!!!

We spent the 4th at the beach and pool and Dad grilled steaks for dinner before we went to the Lakewood Beach Party and Fireworks Extravaganza!

We went to Broadway at the Beach the next night to celebrate Ali's Birthday a few days early since we wouldn't be there on the 13th (her real birthday!) and she got whipped cream shoved in her face....loved every minute of it though!

We had a great time with Ali and Amber...they lived in their "college dorm" with us in the back of the Georgie Boy for most of the week!

Dad found some really neat sea shells that I'm going to use on some craft projects.... Me and Mom caught some crabs and eels...EWW!!!

We played putt putt one night, ate Seafood, and played in the Arcade! Fran, Carl, Morgan, Camryn, and Carl's sister Laura and her daughter, Madison, joined us for a day at the pool and went out to eat with us too...we were so happy to get to spend some time with them! Look what happened to Brian after he ate a bunch of shrimp and crawfish....He is obviously EXTREMELY ALLERGIC! We had to make an emergency trip to CVS for some benadryl and he was as good as new the next day!Poor thing! But even a big, swollen eye can't keep a true fisherman down! lol!

Amber got a hole-in-one!!!And I even got one!!! Actually Trav and I got two hole-in-one's but I'm not one to brag...Ha!Ha!

Ali didn't have time to get one because she was too busy chasing her cell phone through the nasty putt putt river after she dropped it in mid-text...(A very funny site!) We tried to tell her there was a no texting policy for the course but telling her and her friends not to text would be like asking them not to breathe! Lol!

Whewww...that was a long one! We had a GREAT time and made so many GREAT memories! Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL week!
