{S.N.O.W. much F.U.N!!!}

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back from a LONG weekend! :) I left for work smiling this morning because I enjoyed my two days off SOOOOO MUCH!
Thank you God for the BEAUTIFUL snow! Like a friend of mine said---it really reminds me of how you wash me white as snow and I can't help but think of your incredible love everytime I look at it. It really is M.A.G.I.C.A.L!!! And for those who say they were going stir crazy...not me!!! I could've been snowed in two weeks and been perfectly happy!

When we woke up Monday morning, THERE IT WAS!!! Mountains of beautiful white snow! I whipped us up a hearty breakfast of whole wheat pancakes, eggs, and oranges, and we got ready to head outside.
For some reason, Glory was afraid of the sled and thought she needed to rescue us everytime we went down a hill.
She got in trouble once for chasing a car...I think she had an excitement overload!
We made Laura Angels and Glory Angels and acted like we were five again! Isn't it neat how the snow makes you feel like a little kid again?
I love you, Glory!

We sled down some neighborhood hills and had a snowball fight. We tried making a snowman but our snow was so light and powdery that it was hard to make it stick.
Glory and Trav
BRRRR!
{Bubba, do you recognize this hat? I love it!}

We had so much fun watching movies and being lazy! What about you?

So...now lets take it back a few days!

January 8th was my sister Nikki's 23rd birthday!
We had lunch at the Olive Garden....YUM!
Happy Birthday Nikki! You're so gorgeous...inside AND out!
Mmmm..Olive Garden's chocolate lasagna!

Yay! Nikki got a wand!
...and a new professional and stylish blazer for a soon-to-be college grad!

After stuffing ourselves with soup, salad, and breadsticks we went shopping for a little while and then went to see "The Tourist." I HIGHLY recommend that you go see this movie asap...it's REALLY GOOD! Now....let's take it back ONE more night. January 7th was Patrick's 23rd birthday! Ken and Lynn had dinner at their house to celebrate. I decided to debut a different look for the evening....
He!He! It's a wig people...don't get worried! God made me blonde for a reason:) But I must say this particular wig is very cute and made me want to get a cute blonde pixie cut wig to wear every once in awhile, when the urge strikes. WHY NOT?
The Birthday Boy!
We had a DELICIOUS dinner...grilled salmon, brocolli, bread, brown rice, and salad.
"It's my birthday and I can make funny faces if I want to!"
A yummy cookie cake for dessert!

Can you spot who was wearing the wig in this pic? :)

It's Ken! And he celebrated his birthday on January 9th! Happy Birthday Ken!

I am so thankful for the blessings of this weekend and the beauty of God's creations!
Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
Let this promise be a comfort for you today and ALWAYS!
Love,
Laura
