{Oh, GOODness!}

Hello friends!!!

Hope you all had a nice day:) And even if you wouldn't call it a GOOD day there was certainly SOMETHING GOOD about it! Saw that saying on pintrest today and loved it! Very true---Joy is all about perspective:)

Started this lovely hump day off with a cup of  'nilla yogurt
---full of blueberries, cherries, and a handful of honeynut cherrios for crunch!

That held me over until lunch---which wasn't fab but did the job;)
Ham on a whole wheat sandwich flat with three small pieces of cheddar and a BIG serving of zucchini.
 Enjoyed with a refreshing beverage...

---sugar free peach tea. Just,well----peachy:)

{Being corny comes SO VERY EASY for me!}

I needed to use the rest of my hour to escape for a bit. Between the affidavits, treatment plans, and review boards blowing up today's schedule, I just needed some fresh air.

And a little retail therapy:)

Bullseye! LOL:)
 The fitting room mirror gave me a good opportunity to show you today's outfit. I chose extra bright colors this morning since I felt like I needed some extra oomph...this being hump day and all:) And me being so sleepy still and all:) I really did feel kinda energized!
As for those bathing suits hanging there, they were the pits---but put into perspective that just saved me some money! And anyway I have a drawer full of them that need to be worn---at least once:)

Afternoon snack came from the bottom of the pb jar....

and a banana:)

When we got home from work we took a short walk (I joined Trav after his run---shame on me!) and then I ironed a couple of dress shirts for his upcoming business trip. So much fun!

Dinner was so EASY and tasty tonight!
 Organic (canned) black bean and veggie quesadillas with homemade guacamole. Just a mashed avocado, lime juice, and tiny pieces of diced tomatoes. Salt and pepper to taste and you're done. The whole plate had just an estimated 450 calories (?) and lots of fiber, too :) We stuffed ourselves and ate every last bite. What we didn't lick off the plate we let Glory enjoy.

So, how would you rate my eats for today? Any suggestions? What did you fuel YOUR body with today? Curious and interested!

Also, just something to "chew on"---hehe! I usually keep my posts pretty light-hearted because that's just me:) But the parts of my day that you don't see aren't always perfect. (Though I do serve a perfect God who ALWAYS makes everything alright!) I have the same struggles and disappointments that everyone else has. And after experiencing my own fair share (or more) of messes, pain, and self-doubt, I've learned that your circumstances won't change your JOY if you keep looking on the bright side.

Here are a few strategies that help me weather the storms....

~Try to start tomorrow with a new perspective:) Wake up and treat yourself kindly---physically and emotionally! Find JOY in the little things and embrace the unique life, personality, and gifts that God has given you. You are the only person who will ever live your life so make the most of it! Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others (and unrealistic media influences!) and continuously remind yourself that you are special, perfect, and wonderful just the way you are! Show someone some love and generosity. Do something that inspires and motivates you (for me one of those things is this blog:) and Thank God for everything!!!~

Enjoy the day because IT IS YOURS!!!

Love,
Laura
