And now...

Live from Anderson,SC...it's Saturday Night!

First, let me tell you that I'm ABSOLUTELY AND TOTALLY in LOVE with SCOOPS ice cream parlor! They have the very best fat-free soft serve I've ever tried! Tonight I had the vanilla swirled with red raspberry cheesecake, topped with a few chocolate chips. For a total of 200 calories and ZERO GRAMS OF FAT you can't beat it with a stick!

Also...tonight was DATE NIGHT! Spending a fun night with Travis just MAKES MY WEEK! Tonight's DATE NIGHT was spent having BBQ, and tons of it, at Saddler's Creek (Travis has been wanting to go for 3 1/2 years...SERIOUSLY!...so it was about time!) They are only open on Saturday so we kept missing it Saturday after Saturday..until today! The atmosphere there was great...down-home country!...and Travis said it lived up to his expectations. Next we went to SCOOPS (aka...my favorite new place in town!) and then had a putting competition at Dick's Sporting Goods. Trav won all four three-hole tournaments but I almost pulled out a win on the last go-around...maybe next time! If you're looking for some good, cheap entertainment head on down to Dick's and putt to your heart's content! Travis got a nice, new glove for tomorrow's round with his Dad...I hope the weather will be nice for them.

After Dick's we thought about hitting up BAM for a little while but didn't really feel like sitting and reading so we came home and watched 17 again. I thought it was pretty good and had some good humor...I love funny movies! Oh yeah...The Informant was just ok...I'm no movie critic so I'll just say it was kinda weird but did have a pretty cool twist at the end that you never expected which was how I finally decided it was "ok" instead of terrible. Never got to watch Precious because the DVD player decided to act up on me. We DESPERATELY need a new one!

Travis and his friend George are at El Arriero watching Pacquiao vs. Clottey. You may be surprised to know that I'm a boxing fan courtesy of my husband's passionate love of the sport. I NEVER in a million years thought I'd enjoy it but somehow...I do! We love having people over for big matches and making a party of it! We haven't done that in awhile but if Mayweather-Pacquiao happens that'll be a perfect occasion to do just that.

I also forgot to update you on the nail polish challenge...

It really did stay put for ten days without chipping! The 9th day I put flea meds on my cat and it messed the polish all up but before that it had stood the test of time so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and an A+! You know a polish is good if it lasts so long you're almost tired of it and ready to change it...and I was. So I would highly recommend this product, especially for the upcoming summer months when the sun, sand, and chlorine reek havoc on the nails.

Time to hit the hay, spring forward, and probably wake up sleepy!

Looking forward to a special sermon we're having a church tomorrow, announcing our Pastor's new vision for our Church! God is doing some amazing things!

Yea for Saturday Night!
Love,
Laura
